Delivery routes are scheduled Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm.

Customer responsibilities

  • Inform us prior to placing an order of any access or location restrictions including obstructions such as overhead cabling that may affect the delivery and offloading of Goods.
  • Ensure you are present to take receipt of Goods within the delivery window, as delays can incur additional charges.
  • Ensure you provide us accurate contact and address details for delivery.
  • Ensure you have the means to offload the delivery vehicle efficiently. For heavy or large loads we recommend Assisted delivery where you do not have access to forklifts or similar to offload.

What is Standard and Assisted delivery?

What is Standard and Assisted delivery?

We offer both Standard and Assisted delivery.

Delivery is kerbside meaning we will deliver to the nearest safe location to your property.

Within Zones 1-5 we deliver using our own vehicles and trusted partners. We operate a range of HGVs, ranging from 1.5T through to 44T Artics.

If you are outside our local zones, we can still arrange delivery on request. Please contact us and we will endeavour to find you suitable transport at a competitive price.

Standard (Non-assisted)

Customers are expected to have suitable offloading machinery (such as forklifts) or sufficient resources to offload Goods in a timely capacity on arrival. Orders containing large beams must have two people to assist with offloading.

Assisted

Assisted offload is recommended for heavy products like beams and packs where you do not have the use of a suitable forklift or similar to unload the goods. Deliveries will be on a vehicle with a crane arm and may require space either side of the vehicle to stabilise before offloading.

Stock Items

We aim to despatch all stock items to you within 2-3 business days following payment for the Goods.

Need it quicker? If we've confirmed it's a stock item, you can arrange to collect your Goods from our warehouse sooner.

Cut to Size and Planed Items

If your order contains cut to size or planed items, we can typically despatch items within 3-4 business days or alternatively you can arrange to collect your order as soon as we've confirmed it's processed. Don't forget if you're looking for green oak beams we hold plenty of stock and can cut single items to full oak framed projects without the need for a custom mill order.

Custom Mill Orders

Custom Mill Orders of Green Oak are typically 4-5 weeks but we will contact you as soon as the Goods are available to arrange delivery or collection. Alternativley we can cut beams to your requirements from our stock items.

Custom Mill Orders
For custom cut Green Oak beam lists our minimum order value is £5000 . Alternatively we can cut beams to your requirements from stock items.

Minimum order values are exclusive of VAT and applicable delivery charges.

Can I collect my Goods?

For orders over £150 (excluding VAT), you can arrange to collect your Goods for free from our warehouse in West Sussex, GU290LJ. Arrangements can be made by calling 01730719595 or emailing sales@hhforestry.co.uk

Collection appointments can be made Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:00.

When collecting Goods Customers should:

  • Report to reception on arrival
  • Wear appropriate PPE equipment including, hi-visibility clothing and safety boots
  • Follow all health and safety requirements as advised by our staff
  • Bring photographic identification and evidence of full payment when collecting the Goods

Customers are not permitted to use any of our machinery or vehicles to load Goods on site.

If you’ve purchased stock items, our warehouse team will began packaging your Goods and contact you to confirm the delivery date.

If you’ve ordered custom items, we will require a non-refundable deposit before placing your order with our partner mills. As soon as the Goods are ready for despatch from our warehouse, we will be in contact to confirm the delivery date.

With regular deliveries from our mills, delivery is typically 2 - 4 weeks from placing your order.

We will confirm the scheduled delivery date in advance but deliveries can occur anytime Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm, unless we advise otherwise.

On the day of delivery we can request the driver contacts you with an estimated time of arrival.

Please ensure you have someone available to receive the Goods as delays can incur additional charges.

Delivery is kerbside meaning we will deliver to the nearest safe location to your property. We will not lift items over fences, bushes or buildings and the driver will not carry pieces beyond the put down location.

If you have any vehicle access restrictions or potential hazards such as overhead cabling, it’s vital you discuss these with us prior to ordering.

We allow up to 30 minutes for Customers to offload their Goods from the driver’s arrival time.

You must inspect your Goods at the time of delivery or collection. If you identify any damages or shortfalls, please inform us in writing at sales@hhforestry.co.uk, within 1 day, stating your invoice number, details of any issues and supporting photos if necessary.
