What are cut-to-size sawn kiln-dried oak boards?

These are high-quality mill-sawn square edge oak boards that have been kiln-dried to reduce moisture and cut to your minimum dimensions.

Will I need to prepare the sawn boards?

A sawn finish is ideal when a rustic or natural look is desired. These boards can also be processed by planing, jointing, or machining for furniture, joinery, or bespoke projects. It allows flexibility and a cost effective way to achieve your finish.

Do kiln dried boards require acclimatisation for fitting?

Yes. Even for kiln-dried boards, we would recommend allowing them to acclimatise indoors for 7–10 days before installation, there by ensuring minimal movement and a perfect fit.

What is the difference between sawn and planed boards?

Sawn boards are left it their natural state once they have been cut by the mill saw.
Planed timber boards have been smoothed, levelled and squared using an industrial planer.
